Established in 2014, we have quickly grown to become one of the most trusted companies in the industry. Our growth has allowed us to stock an ever-increasing range of commercial engines, predominantly for vans and RV’s. Holding engines in stock allows us to offer an efficient ‘off the shelf’ service, minimising your vehicle’s downtime.
Here at Engine Swap, we have extensive experience in the reconditioning of popular commercial engines including those for Ford Transit, Vauxhall Vivaro, Nissan Primastar, Peugeot Boxer, Citroen Relay, Renault Traffic and Vauxhall Astra vans. Our engineers work day in, day out solely on these engine types; they know the specification and tolerances and are specialists in the industry.
so with that in mind Engine Swap has created a system whereby you can buy a re-manufactured engine ‘off the shelf’ that can be delivered FREE the very next day. Your broken engine unit can also be collected free of charge, once it has been received we will disassemble the unit and report any damage that could potentially be useful in preventing any further damage to your new crated engine.
Buying with confidence is a huge part of our ethos. We want our customers to talk about the positive experience they have had with engine-swap which is why ALL of our reconditioned engines are built to the same high quality standard by our qualified and experienced technicians, each and every reconditioned engine is sold with a 6 month unlimited mileage warranty.
You may be buying a second-hand engine at a discount of £400 in comparison to that of some reconditioned engines, but in days, weeks or a couple of months that common fault or problem can occur leaving you out of pocket and without a working vehicle. You may also notice that nearly all second hand engines are advertised with low mileage which leads me to believe that some of them are not, and quite frankly unless you were to strip the engine apart there is no way of knowing. Buying second hand engines in all honesty can be cheaper but its a risk which can soon be very costly and trust us, we have seen it happen so many times.
Reconditioned engines on the other hand are simply risk free, the problems that have occurred and problems that may materialise are erased by replacing the old parts and components with news ones. New seals and gaskets will prevent any oil or water leaks that we all know happen too often with older vehicles and on top of that you’ll get warranty so if for any bizarre reason your ‘good as new’ reconditioned engine is not up to scratch it will be done again until it is running perfectly.
At this stage engines are completely stripped this will involve the removal of all parts and components including switches, valves, seals and gaskets.
All of the engines we recondition are then thoroughly cleaned, degreased and de-carbonised using our acid tank and industrial cleaning tank.
Engine components will be machined to a perfect working condition using the various machinery we have in our workshop, this can include crank grinding, conrod resizing, engine block rebores and much more.
We take pride in our engine rebuilding which is why we decide to respray the exterior of our engines, we are open to any specific colours/designs you may require.
After all the parts have been checked and cleaned again, the engine can now be reassembled using all the necessary new parts.
With all our testing equipement in house we make sure the engine runs exactly as they should and ready for the customer.
